You agree to provide us with such personal information as is necessary for you to participate in the Workshop. You further acknowledge that such information may be used in the organisation of the Workshop requirements and will enable us to update you with information in relation to the Workshop as appropriate. Metcash will also disclose your personal information to third parties who work with our business to develop, coordinate and manage the IBA Trade Workshop 2019. All personal information provided to us will be handled in accordance with the Commonwealth Privacy Act 2014. If you have any objections to your information being used in the above manner, please contact IBA to effect the requested exclusions.
In these Terms and Conditions and any associated material for the Workshop these words have the following meaning: “Workshop Delegate” means all eligible persons who register to attend and attend the IBA Trade Workshop 2019, where eligible persons include employees, partners or spouses, and/or agents of any person, partner/spouse, company, partnership or firm of any eligible person. “Organiser” means Hancock Events International, trading as DIRECTIONS Conference and Incentive Management (DCIM) and their servants or agents, including any person or persons appointed by them to act on their behalf. “Promoter” means Independent Brands Australia Pty Limited (IBA).
The Promoter has engaged the Organiser to develop, coordinate and manage the IBA Trade Workshop 2019, which will include but is not limited to organising, producing and delivering tours, all advice, recommendations, negotiations, bookings, the booking and use of hotel accommodation for the Workshop and the events, meals and tours for the Workshop. In the event that the Organiser books the Workshop Delegates flights, the Organiser and Promoter are not responsible for flight schedule changes, currency fluctuations, loss, injury, accident, death, damage, delay or irregularity that may be caused to person or property, however caused or arising during the travel and program arrangements under their management, sponsorship procurement or otherwise, unless any loss, injury or damage is attributable to any negligent act or omission by them. All confirmations for the Workshop are issued subject to the Terms and Conditions under which that transportation and other program services are provided.
The Workshop Delegate hereby releases the Promoter/Metcash, it’s directors, officers, employees and agents against all claims, liabilities and losses (including fines, penalties and set off), damages and expenses arising directly or indirectly from— any accident, injury, death or sickness of any Workshop Delegates; any property loss or damage including loss of luggage of Workshop Delegates; any change or cancellation of any airline tickets; any change or cancellation of hotel accommodation; any general failure or non-performance of services to be provided by various service providers.
Prices are current at the date of publishing. In the event of increases affecting price in which we pay for, we reserve the right to adjust our Workshop arrangement prices as may be necessary, at any time up to and including the day of departure of this Workshop, even though the balance payment has been made.
The Organiser and Promoter reserve the right to determine which carriers and suppliers are set to provide all the items in the Workshop program and further reserves the right to change any carrier at their discretion.
Workshop coach transfers to/from Gold Coast Domestic Airport on Monday 23 September 2019 and Thursday 26 September 2019 are included and provided by Independent Brands Australia Pty Ltd at the scheduled times advertised on the registration site. If you require an airport transfer outside the set coach services, you are required to make your own way to/from the airport at your own expense and arrangements.
Maximum numbers for accommodation are shown in the below breakdown. If you require accommodation over and above these limits, you will be required to pay for a second room. When registering as a family, DIRECTIONS will contact you to discuss room configuration and pricing for accompanying children.
The Star Gold Coast - shared occupancy is based on a maximum of three (3) adults or two (2) adults and two (2) children under the age of 12 using existing existing bedding.
Two (2) double beds or one (1) king bed in the room.
An infant cot for children 2 years old or younger is available upon request, subject to availability. Additional charges apply for extra bedding or additional hotel room.
Every effort has been made to ensure that printed material is accurate at the time of printing. The Organiser and the Promoter shall not be liable for any injury, damage or loss caused by unintentional inaccuracy or misdirection obtained herein or which may result in any change or withdrawal of any price details or other items of service. All printed information forms part of this contract and by accepting these Terms and Conditions, the Workshop Delegate also accepts any additional terms noted in the Workshop literature content that have not been restated here.
Cancellation or amendment of your registration will be accepted up until 11.59pm EST on Sunday 25 August 2019. Cancellations received after the official close date of Sunday 25 August 2019 will incur the full cancellation charge, regardless of the date of registration. A formal request for a cancellation must be in writing via email correspondence to ibatradeworkshop@dcim.com.au.
As of 12.00am EST on Monday 26 August 2019, program costs as per your completed registration form will be charged and no refunds will be issued. NO exceptions, regardless of cancellation reason – please note this program charge is heavily subsidised by IBA.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended and is the responsibility of the person travelling. If you would like DIRECTIONS to send you a quote for travel insurance, please select the Travel Insurance option during registration. Travel insurance is not included in the package. Please note, for travel insurance that there is no requirement to use our travel insurance provider.
The Workshop Delegate shall also observe the Terms and Conditions as set out in their travel documents, itineraries and any amendments advised by the Organiser and their employees or agents, including any person or persons appointed to act on their behalf.
In the event that the IBA Trade Workshop 2019 is cancelled or delayed through no fault of the Organiser or the Provider, including but not limited to fire, labour disputes, natural disaster, acts of God, civil disorders, riots, insurrections, work stoppages, slowdowns or disputes or other similar events, then the Workshop Delegate shall not be entitled to any refund or to claim for any loss or damage.
Any claim by the Workshop Delegate against the Organiser or Provider arising from these Terms and Conditions of participation in respect of the Workshop is barred unless commenced within six months after the final date of commencement.
